Not all windows are created equal. Choose Signature, the reliable choice.

Custom designed and custom manufactured with premium standard features, the Signature window utilizes a proven design that will instantly increase the strength, appearance, and energy efficiency of your home.

Performance Features

Signature’s streamlined lock is extremely low profile, not visible from the outside
Signature’s extruded, heavy duty screen frame with internal metal corner key provides superior strength and durability
The highly coveted Ultra SeaClear screen comes standard in Signature windows. In addition to superior strength and durability, the Ultra SeaClear screen also offers increased visibility and light transmittance, improved air flow, and maximized insect protection
Signature windows are ENERGY STAR® qualified and NFRC certified – providing performance you can depend on
Signature’s MicroShield antimicrobial triple weather stripping maximizes resistance to air and water infiltration, mold, dust, fungi, pollen, and harmful bacteria
Signature windows use advanced Super Spacer® as a standard to create insulated glass with a warm edge around the perimeter. Super Spacer is a non-metallic, structural foam spacer that blocks heat escape, dramatically reduces condensation, holds insulating gases better than other spacers, and offsets the effects of temperature changes to prevent stress cracks

Thermal Performance

U Factor – Thermal Insulation

The U Factor indicates how easily heat will flow through the window, whereas R Factor indicates the opposite: how well the window will resist heat flow. The lower the U Factor, the better a window insulates. Click the picture to the right to see how Signature compares. Signature has superior u factors for superior thermal performance of the entire window

Solar Heat Gain Coefficient

A window’s Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SGHC) is the amount of solar radiation admitted through it. The lower a window’s SHGC, the less solar heat is transmitted into the house and the easier it is to keep your house cool in the summer. On the other hand, in northern climates a higher SHGC can provide beneficial passive solar heating in the winter. Signature offers a variety of high performance Low E glass packages with varying SHGC ratings to suit your needs, based on your climate.

Visible Transmittance (VT)

VT measures the percentage of visible light that is admitted through the window.
Signature’s spectrally selective glass coating packages have been designed to enhance a window’s thermal performance by blocking a large percentage of ultraviolet and infrared light, while maximizing visible light transmission. Clear glass itself blocks about 20% of visible light.

Structural Integrity and Performance

Signature windows are tested to standards set forth by the American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association (AAMA) for structural performance. Air infiltration, water penetration, and structural wind loads are three commonly referenced tests. Click the images to enlarge and learn more.

Air Infiltration:  Signature Windows are over 10 times more air tight than typical vinyl windows!

*Industry Standard: American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association (AAMA) has set the industry standard for maximum allowable air infiltration at .30 CFM (Cubic feet per minute) during a 25 mph wind. Data for the above chart assumed a 36″ X 60″ double hung window and a 9″W X 12″ L oval-shaped balloon or 482 in3 of volume.
Signature windows beat industry standards for water resistance by fifty-eight percent
